Potential applicants have to apply for admission to the College of Graduate Studies and Research of the University specifying that they want to join one of the graduate programs of the Department of Computer Science. Admissions information is available here. The application procedure is quite competitive, so excellent marks are a prerequisite. Potential candidates need to have good command of English (either TOEFL score of at least 94 or IELTS (Academic Module) of at least 7.0, with no individual score below 6.5. A Duolingo English Test score of at least 120 with no individual score below 115 is also acceptable. There is an application fee ($120), non-refundable. You need to apply for admission to the College of Graduate Studies. Please, indicate in the department application form that you are interested in area "social computing" or "distributed systems" and mention explicitly in your statement of purpose that you want to work in the MADMUC lab and with which professor.

The deadline for application are January 15 (for admission in the following September).
